44th Congress of the Egyptian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation (ESNT)
With great pleasure, I would like to welcome you to the 44th Congress of the Egyptian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation (ESNT), which will be held at Intercontinental Citystars, Cairo, Egypt, from 18 to 21 February 2025.
The scientific agenda is carefully designed to involve more practical and interactive sessions addressing hot topics and the latest updates in nephrology and kidney transplantation. We will have special featured sessions and workshops for education, research, and debates to enhance knowledge and experience in all fields of nephrology.Â
This year, we were privileged to collaborate and invite eminent guest speakers from international societies and institutions; ISN, ERA-EDTA, Mayo Clinic, AFRAN and ASNRT. Their valuable input will definitely enrich the scientific program with their vast experience and recent updates.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated members of the organizing committee for their tremendous effort in making this congress a reality. I also wish to express our gratitude to the pharmaceutical companies for their generous support. We hope that the program we have prepared exceeds your expectations. In the end, I hope you enjoy your stay in Cairo, the pearl of the Middle East and Africa.
With great pleasure, I would like to welcome you to the 44th Congress of the Egyptian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation (ESNT) taking place in Intercontinental Citystars, Cairo, Egypt from 10-12 February 2026.
The theme of the congress this year is “Bridging the gaps: Kidney-Organ Crosstalk”, where we will explore the kidney’s vital, bidirectional communication with the heart, brain, gut, lungs, and liver, recognizing that kidney health is intrinsically linked to systemic wellness, and dysfunction triggers cascading failures, promising new insights into biomarkers and therapies for holistic patient care. The sessions will highlight the kidney’s pivotal role in inter-organ networks to move beyond isolated organ care towards a systems-based approach, fostering collaboration for better patient outcomes.
The scientific program was carefully designed to involve more practical and interactive sessions addressing hot topics and latest updates in nephrology and kidney transplantation. Several hands-on workshops will be carried out focusing on practical skills in Interventional Nephrology (catheter placement, biopsies, vascular access), fostering research methodology, and improving scientific writing and publishing to advance expertise across all areas of nephrology.
We are privileged to collaborate and invite eminent guest speakers from international societies and institutions; ERA-EDTA, UKKA, BTS, NHSBT, MayoClinic, AFRAN and ASNRT. Their valuable input will definitely enrich the scientific program with their vast experience and recent updates.
I would like to thank the organizing committee for their huge efforts, and the pharmaceutical companies for their kind support. I hope that the program will meet your expectations and wish you a pleasant stay in Cairo, the pearl of the Middle East and Africa.
